It seems like there's a lot of love for Nadir. What do you think about him and his seemingly extremely complicated relationship with Erik? I would call it a frenemies type of friendship...or on-again, off-again...

the Persian, huh?
I think i love this guy almost as much as Erik. Every adaptation that excludes him makes my soul bleed. Everybody needs a little bit of booby in their lives.

I love him because he can totally handle Erik. He's not really surprised by what he does. He never reacts, just responds. You can just see him pinching his nose as Erik cuts down the chandelier, then going to find him and saying, "now that your little fit has been thrown, can we act like adults now?"

Yeah, I can totally see him pinching his nose...the amount of headaches he must have gotten...haha. Poor man. It's interesting that he can be afraid of the man and yet still have the courage to stand up to him or try to clean up his messes. I love how Kay went more into their backstory. That they've been in each other's company for so long that whatever Erik does now, Nadir is like just another day in my life.

I love Nadir so much. It really grinds my gears that he's almost always excluded from film versions. What's with this film vendetta against Nadir? Seriously.
I think it's interesting how he's the only person to whom Erik can fully disclose everything, or almost everything. How, even though neither of them would ever admit it, they both truly enjoy each other's company. If you think about it, both have been through a lot. Nadir lost his wife, his son, and his freedom when imprisoned in Persia (according to Kay, at least). Erik, obviously, had it even worse. But I think that's why they sort of get each other. They're totally drinking buddies.
I love how Nadir always adheres to his morals. He's just such a GOOD guy. He's like that nice uncle you just want to hug.
Plus, the dialogue between Erik and Nadir is seriously the funniest thing in the history of life. Erik's just eternally obnoxious and Nadir's weathering the storm, slowly but surely losing his hair.
Gotta love that daroga.

In all honesty, the Daroga is the Watson to Erik's Holmes. He is the only one that can really deal with any and all of Erik's eccentricities. If indeed Erik were to solve mysteries, Daroga would be there to Watson it up XD

He leads Raoul in Erik's dungeon, he's ready to fight and prepared. He rules <3 Well, I don't know if that was so smart. Unless of course it was all a secret plot to make Christine choose Erik in the first place. "HaHA! I've got it! I'll place myself and that boy in MORTAL danger of being killed by Erik so Christine MUST choose Erik to save us!! Oh, Erik is going to be SO GRATFUL! He IS my best (only) friend after all!!" But I love Nadir. <3
