Raoul would be rolling over in his grave... (not that any of us Erik fans care) What fault is it of ours that they chose to use an I'll developed Philippe instead of poor Raoul?? Hahahahahahaha. But yes... That Sea Witch has done wonders for others, why not Philippe? Or is that why Raoul is nowhere to be found? Philippe ask the Sea Witch to get rid of him in exchange for bouncy hair and an ever- changing accent!

He really does come off as a skeez. A bouncy-haired skeez, but a skeez none the less.

There sure are many version where you are led to think "Did they? They didn't! Or did they?" In the Robert Englund version I had that twice... Once with "Raoul" or "Richard" and once with Erik... I actually like it that "Raoul" dies in this one... no more mister FancyHair.

It's true that a lot of the Raoul figures come off as annoying and derpy, but I think that the one from the Herbert Lom version was actually really sweet. He was NICE to Christine, was TOTALLY COOL with the Phantom teaching her lessons, had good taste in music, and didn't want to "save Christine from a monster" so much as he wanted to find out what the heck was going on and, get this, HELP THE PHANTOM.

True, but in this version Erik didn't give a DAMN about Christine. He only cared for her voice and therefor was no thread to a potential romance with "La Daaé".
