Does anyone one know if there is a recording of this available? I want to see/hear it so bad since it was such a huge inspiration to ALW (to say the least...).

Here's my favorite song from the Ken Hill musical--it's absolutely chilling: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1Q-9oF_73A There are some other songs from the musical linked on the right of the video, too, but admittedly, I haven't listened to them. I just listen to this song over and over and over. It's SUCH a perfect duet. And I kind of like the guy playing Erik. Not an operatic voice, but I like the ghostly, raspy quality it has. I do know that all of the songs in the musical are melodies from operas, given new lyrics for the Phantom story. Pretty interesting concept. |
