Because I now know that I am not the only one here that loves this, here's the thread so we can indulge our obsession!
To start, do you have a favourite story? How about a favourite god/godess?
Hermes is my favourite.
As for stories... that's a hard one.

I like Haephestus. Favorite story is probably Orpheus and Eurydice.

Oh yeah, Haephetus, is good too. It bugs me though when certain artists picture him pretty.

My favorites are Megaera (the fury who punishes infidelity), and Melpomene (the muse of singing and tragedy and mother of sirens). I generally also like Sirens and Harpies and my favorite story is Homer's Odyssey.

I like the story of Ganymed, although I've heard three different versions of it already. But it's somehow a little happy ending among all those tragedies.
And I like the story of Hades and Persephone. ^.^

Yeah, I quite like the story of Hades and Persephone too. I always felt bad for Hades... Well, at least he wasn't married to his sister like Zeus...

I like that Hermes married the mute Lara. Not that he was any less of a whore than the rest of them, but I did find something to admire in that the messagener or the gods would marry someone that was cursed never to speak and had her mouth sewn up.

Didn't stop him from have the Hermaphrodit with his sister... But right you are.

I feel like that's how I first learned it...

I like Athena a lot, she always seemed to have a good head on her shoulders...and was less...loose with herself than the others...she never seemed to go off cavorting with anything that had a pulse...*coughZeuscough* but that's how I remember her...haha

They were all whores of some kind, exept for Athena... and Artemis... maybe... can't remember.

And then she killed the men that fell in love with her. So that's just as bad I think. I'll have to look in to Hermaphotis thing. I read it that it was Hermes and Aphrodite's too, but I thought there was another version. That's the problem with Greek myth, there are a hundered different verisons of everything...
