So since the Phantom Head Canon thread had been going in the direction of obsessions...
What are you all obsessed with?
It can be movies, books, fandoms, stories, music...etc.
Right now for me PoTO obviously. Lord of the Rings, military history especially WWII, opera, classical music, Harry Potter, spy/action movies/stories, superhero movies/stories...Sherlock Holmes, british TV, Downton Abbey, Doctor Who, sci-fi: Star Trek...I can go on and on...and on...hahaha

I'm sort of sensing this will be a lengthy list by the time i get through with it. I'll just roll through them, then. - Anything having to do with the Phantom of the Opera, with the exception of the Englund version, because I don't like blood. I don't know what I'm doing obsessing over a murderer when i don't like blood, but whatever
- Les Misérables. (speaking of not liking blood...) I plan to read the brick eventually, but I'm not a yaoi fan, so I'll have to find a different reason to like the book.
- Wicked. Oh crud, I'm doing homework too right now and I totally just forgot all about it.
- Internet Reviewers. PR, Nostalgia Critic, ect. I love to hear people pick apart other peoples work. (my family refuses to watch movies with me, now.)
- Showtunes are something I can be found listening to daily, regardless of whether or not I actually like the source show. This is also a social disadvantage, since most people don't want to talk to someone who was belting "Cell Block Tango" not five minutes ago.
- I also listen to opera. As you may or may not have guessed by my username.
- Sherlock Holmes, mostly because I think Robert Downey Jr is a sexy beast, and also for the Kay elements.
There are more, but as I mentioned earlier, I have to sort out my priorities and do some homework.

In the Englund version; I too could do without the blood. I like his Gentleman-Erik, you know? That scene in Box five or when he tells Christine that she's his inspiration to finish Don Juan. He's so cute there XD I really hated the look of the new Sherlock Holmes movies and the thought of R.D.Jr. as Sherlock in particular. But that's because I really love the original stories by A.C.Doyle and don't like detective-stuff turned into an actionmovie (To be honest I only saw parts of it and have no intention to ever watch either movie... BUT a naked Holmes? HELL NO!) I'll stick to my beloved Jeremy Brett ^-^

XD The films certainly take quite a few liberties, and at least the first one seems to be more "steampunk" than actual late 1800's period. I thought they were pretty cool as films, and highly amusing, but if you're looking for something loyal in every detail to the books, then no.

Maybe I'm too sensitive about these things, but I really don't care for modernised Holmes in any way. I was also quite sceptical about BBCs Jekyll... but James Nesbitt is one hell of an actor. If I wasn't a fan of The hobbit already, I watch it just because of him. XD
