So the sequel to J.J. Abrams's Star Trek is coming out next year and I'm so excited!
I loved the first one with Chris Pine, Zach Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, and so on. But this time around Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock is going to be the villain!
I'm so excited I can't even think properly. Benedict Cumberbatch is amazing. And I love the series Sherlock! It's a quite different take. Although I know a lot of you guys are very loyal to the originals. But it's not so bad...and the acting is very good. (He's also going to be the voice of Smaug in The Hobbit)
Any other Star Trek fans out there?

I'm not really a "fan" but I like Star Trek. There's a lot about it that I don't like, but I do like the Vulcans and the Romulans and I love Spock and Bones. That's about it. I'm a fan of TOS and original movies but that's pretty much it. I did like the newest one however and I dressed as Spock when I went to see it.

I think I have to say that I'm sort of a Trekkie...haha...but that's alright. I love Spock and Bones too but I also love Sulu and Chekov. I haven't watched all of the original series even though I should...I watched a few of the original movies. But I usually watch like the later series like Deep Space Nine and Voyager but that's just me...haha

I am no real Trekkie, but I am a fan.
I wantched the original series, next generation, Voyager and all movies except the new one (which I do not intend to see EVER)
I just love Kirk and Spock. Actually i like the whole original grew. ^.^

I am no real Trekkie, but I am a fan. I wantched the original series, next generation, Voyager and all movies except the new one (which I do not intend to see EVER) I just love Kirk and Spock. Actually i like the whole original grew. ^.^ The new one is pretty good! Haha. But yeah some people don't really like the new one. I love Voyager. Haha. I know a lot of fans say that Voyager is the worst series but I love it anyway. Haha. I don't know what this says about my judgement but I don't care...hahaha |

It's like saying all the stuff that you knew before has just been thrown out the window so if you're a really die hard fan of the original I can see how that can be upsetting. I love love love Captain Janeway! I had to write about a fictional character that I look up to for my college applications and other chose like Hermione from Harry Potter or Elizabeth Bennett...I chose Captain Janeway...haha |

But I do not ship that pairing.
There is a nurse by the name of Christine (and this IS canon in the original series) who has a crush on Spock. However, this doesn't really work, seeing as he is already in an intimate relationship with Logic Itself.
