A place where you can discuss everything about your favorite consulting detective...and his trusty roommate Dr. John Watson.
Whether it's the original novels, the Basil Rathbone versions, that one Russian version, the Robert Downey Jr. versions or the new BBC series.
So discuss away!

There's a Russian series I think. On youtube... I found one video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0v_sN5rfgw called Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson: The Acquaintance, I think it's only part 2? But some of the other parts have been blocked for copyright reasons. I haven't watched it yet but I heard it's good.

I liked the BBC Sherlock series. I admittedly haven't read EVERY Sherlock story but I did like the modern spin they put on the character. The cinematography is brilliant and the transitions between scenes are genius. (Maybe that's just the film major in me talking but I love a good transition). And Benedict Cumberbatch is an AMAZINGLY GOOD ACTOR. But I haven't watched the first season in a while and I know the second season came out.

Again I am a meany and stick with the old TV series staring Jeremy Brett. Don't like the new holmes, neither the series nor the movies. Bad me.

To be perfectly honest, I've only seen one episode of the new one, which I thought was brilliant, and haven't seen any of the Jeremy Brett series. My only real experience with Mr. Holmes has been a little cassette tape with some of the (presumably abridged) Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories when I was little, a filmed version of The Hound of the Baskervilles and the original written (but also possibly abridged) The Hound of the Baskervilles, which I barely remember, and the Robert Downey Jr. movies, which were pretty cool but had a bit too much action and not enough brain work.
