Hi folks! I apologize. I'm not attending the forum as I wish, but I'm studying for school, IELTS, college admission exam and high school final exam. Plus, I'm ill XD So.... I have a question for you. In my italian copy of POTO original novel, at the end of the chapter "Apollo's lyre", when Raoul asks Christine "If Erik were good-looking, would love me, Christine?", before the phrase that all of us know, she answers "You wretch! Why are you tempting Fate? Why do you ask me things that I hide in the bottom of my conscience just like sin?" and then she rises and says "Oh, my betrothed of a day..." and... You know how it ends XD Now, I didn't find the former phrase in my two POTO's english copies (book and e-book) and on the cover of the italian version there's written "Uncut edition" Have you found the phrase in your books?

I remember that phase very clearly from my copy (german) but you shall have to wait until tomorrow when I can check.

It sounds really familiar. I have an English copy. Unfortunately, someone is borrowing it... forever it seems. But once I break into their house and get it back I'll let you know!

Well, it's not in the english version that comes with the collectors edition of Mystery Legends: The Pantom of the Opera. I need to check my german copy... Where did I put that book?

I've never heard it, but then I don't own a concrete copy, so it's probably abridged.

If I want to read a book, I want to read what the autor wrote and not what some editor thought I should read.

Unless the abridged part is absolute nonsense and has nothing to do with story or characters LEAVE IT IN!!!
