I have to ask because I've read two different translators versions of the original novel and they both stated twenty, which is also Raoul's age. Yet I read in other places she was sixteen. So what does it say in your book?

So what does it say in your book? My book says that Raoul is "twentyone, but looks like eighteen". But I cannot find Christine's age... in which chapter is her age? |

Well, wikipedia says, that her age is never really mentiones, except that she "remained pure like a sixteen-year old".
Since she visited the conservatorium and was childhoodfriend with Raoul she should be about 20 years old.
She lost her mother when she was six, then Daaè started travelling. Let's say, one year. Then they meet Prof. Valerius and they move to Paris. My book states that Papa Daaé only was happy during the summerS. So lets say, three years. Then raoul comes up, so Christine is about 10. Three years later, they meet again. So she's 13 and her father is still alive. Then he dies, so lets say a year later) and Christine starts Conservatorium which takes about 4 years. Then she's 18. Chorustraining and the likes... and they training she got from Erik... 2 years? Would make sense, right?

Yeah I could except that. I dont remember anything about her being "pure like a sixteen year old" but I always figured she was Raoul's age.
Then again, I also never caught that she was blonde either and still can't find where it menions her hair colour...

My book says page 72 or so. |

I have always imagines her as a 17 or 18 year old... I don't know why. (I did catch that she was blond LOL) but I think she's between 17 and 20. Maybe she's been fooling us all and she's really 19....
