So true... But I still like the image of Christine and Raoul going "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeayyyy, WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" in the audience XDDD XDDDDDD True! *images Raoul's face after he found out everything* Raoul: GAH! What have I done?! *cuts his clapping hands* I really wonder how changing the set makes the plot and music better? The critcs won't go like: WHOA, THE SET! I'm so busy staring, that I don't notice pook plot and stupid lyrics...

I actually spotted glimpses of new scenes that weren't in the London show. There's new stage directions for acting out old scenes too (and the acting makes a big difference. I'm not sure how to feel about the changes), and I remember hearing that a couple songs had been taken out entirely, and the lyrics incorporate all the changes ALW made, and likely a bit more.
So, some other things changed beside the eye-candy. Still the same over-arching story though.
My main concern is that I liked Ramin as the Phantom, in both LND and the 25th anniversary PotO. I'm a little hesitant to accept this other guy, but we'll see. The clips I've seen of him are... not reassuring, but maybe when I can see the entire show it will make more sense.

Well, sometimes the right actor can save everything... I agree that Ramin has a very fine voice, good acting skills and... he's attractive too. XD

Did it mention which songs were taken out entirely and why? I can see them being reworked so that way the cheese isn't so evident, but I see no reason to remove them. As long as Gustave doesn't say "yes" after everything the phantom says in "The Beauty Underneath" that just makes it creepy...

Yeah, on the CD recording, Gustave sounds like he's in an Herbal Essence commercial in The Beauty Underneath, which really makes the Phantom seem like a pedophile... BUT on the stage performance he's toned it done quite a bit, so now he just sounds like he's thrilled with everything. Nice and innocent, as it should be. ^.^ Though, when I feel like ruining otherwise normal conversations with my friends, I'll randomly throw in a Gustave-esque "YEEEESS!" to make everyone feel awkward. Either that or sneak up behind them and start singing Beneath a Moonless Sky. I'm very mean to my friends.

I'm actually going to see LND in about a month... it's coming to Sydney, and I think that it's probably worth seeing mainly because it doesn't look like it's going to be here for long...
Also: special effects look AMAZING. Can't say I'm terribly fond of the plot, but I think the special effects might just make up for it.

She has to. Otherwise it would be cruel and unusual punishment.

Oh my God! OH MY GOD!!
I... I am DISGUSTING!! AHHHHHHH!! Know why? KNOW WHY??
I just listened to the reviwe of LND by PhantomReviewer and he came to the part of Beauty underneath. I thought 'Yes, okay. Sounds... kinda good.'
And THEN Gustav came along with his 'YESSSSS' and I was like 'HOLY!!! Do that again! That VOICE!! Okay, he must be Eriks son!! HE MUST!' I... I had a shiver running down my spine and a cold feel over my skin - which happens when I hear something that draws my attention for some reason... hard to explain) and went like 'Go on. Go on. Sing some more Yeses!!!' And he did O.o
"You can feel it!" "Yes!" "Come closer!" "Yesss!"
"You can face it!" "YES!" "You can take!" "YESSSSSSSSS!!!"
Talk about CrackPairing... Voicelike? Erik/Gustav.
There. I AM disgusting. (BUT I imagine the actors having a lot of fun during rehearsals. I mean, you sind THAT for the first time, 'Gustav' literally moans Yesssss! and Ramin goes like "O.o Why don't we have Christine sing that song with me?") And please don't think of me as a Pedophile >.<

Yeah, like I said a couple posts up, Gustave sounds orgasmic on the CD recording. If you check out the clip of the live show, he's toned it down quite a bit. Here's the link. I think he sounds cute and innocent live.
