It's the skylight he installed on a whim so he could work on his suntan. However, he held the foil thingy next to his face too long. Maybe he installed the skylight so he could have the same forest as Dance!Erik...?

Did anyone else notice the deformity progressively healing from the chandelier crash to the final lair scene? Just me? I wonder if he was putting some kind of lotion on it off-camera...

Here's a welcome to the new ones that just joined our board! Ghostwritten, rosewhite, jojo and the few others whose names I forgot, but all the same, "I had rather hoped that you would come!"

Hey everyone! I've been around the online phans scene since back in 2001, but I've been far more active in the last couple of years. I first heard the OLC of Phantom when I was roughly 7 years old. My aunt took my mom to see the show in New York and my brother, sister and I were insanely jealous, waited up until she got back at midnight so she could tell us everything she could remember. I do remember vividly her depiction of the finale scene and how the Phantom just disappears. She was amazed and so were we, and we hadn't even seen it. I became re-obsessed with Phantom back in 2001 after 9/11. I live close to New York City, close enough that we could see the smoke over Long Island Sound, so we were pretty shaken up. I was a teenager then and it was the first time I felt my parents couldn't protect me from everything. I won't go on about it, but I had an urge to go to church and just find some peace and accept the new uncertainty and the fact that life could end in the blink of an eye for no good reason. We were the only ones in the church that afternoon for prayers and confession, and the priest had put on Michael Crawford's "Eagles Wings" CD. Sitting in an empty, dark church with the afternoon daylight coming in through the stained glass windows listening to the voice of the Phantom...did kind of change my life. In the midst of tragedy and fear, I was comforted so much by a voice that was prominent in my childhood. In the months that followed, I focused on Phantom and it was a blissful distraction. This brought me to an interest in theater in general and it has carried on to this day. I got my associates degree in theater arts in 2009 and immediately began working as a program coordinator for a theater eduction program in Bridgeport. I also worked from time to time as a stage manager, assistant stage manager, spotlight operator, dresser, wig mistress and general running crew for various shows. I'm in my mid 20s now and still without my BA. While my experiences working in the theater have been great, I don't want to put off school any longer. I'm currently a drama studies major at a state university and I'm loving it. And that's my story. I love Leroux's original novel. It's frustrating how much more information you want from it and no matter how many times you reread, it just won't show up. But the mystery it leaves is fascinating. I've read Susan Kay's book oh so many times, though I don't love the narrative after Christine shows up. But for what it is, it is still one of the better versions out there, in my opinion. Webber's stage show is always going to remain close to my heart. I've seen it over 30 times on Broadway, once in London. And those remain my favorites. I've seen/read all other official versions of the story...some I despise, a few of them are okay, and some like the Charles Dance or Lon Chaney versions definitely outshine the others. I found this website on DeviantArt. I had been following the Requiem Mask comic, but the updates have been so slow and compounded by thinly veiled resentment from its creator(s) LOL I wandered over instead to view the gallery of Muirin007, a fantastic phan artist, and found the link to this forum. You all look like a bunch of rational, well spoken phans and I'm really glad I found you!
